Gubbio
Gubbio is the collection in which linearity becomes a masterpiece. And they do it by combining two embroideries such as punto Parigi and satin stitch. The first is obtained after having carried out the unthreading, i.e. after having removed some weft threads. Remnants of the warp are knotted into strips using a single-needle machine, which gives rise to a subtle and delicate finish.
The full stitch is a classic of the Italian embroidery tradition and is obtained by combining the processes linked to two types of embroidery: the running stitch for the internal part and then a series of launched stitches, performed very close together, to fill compactly the line to draw.
